Hi everyone. Please remember to post your weight tomorrow. I wil calculate everyone's percentage weight loss based on the starting weights you all sent in last week. The results will be posted Monday everning (most likely after 10 since I run a girl scout meeting earlier that night). We will have weekly winners and then an overall winner at the end of the month.
I thought it might be good if everyone posted a little bit about themselves to get to know each other.
Good luck!
Rebecca

I'll go first on the "get to know you" stuff.
I did the weight loss thing a few years ago and did really good. But I let life get in the way and ended up putting a good bit of it back on. I am about 10 pounds from my first mini goal, which would put me back where I was 2 years ago. I am determined not to let anything get in my way again! I want to be healthy and hear for my daughter.
I am excited about having a postive supportive group of people to work with on this challenge.0 -
My name is Courtney. I had a friend that recommended this site to me at the end of 2010. I finally decided it was time for hubby and i to get healthier. we have been trying for 3 years to have a baby with no luck.I'm hoping that losing weight will help me get what I want most out of life and happy and healthy family. Stress and TOM have kind of knocke dme off the wagon last week for the first time since I began. I hope this challenge will help me get back on track. Good luck all!0

no loss for me this week. Stupid TOM...plus the fact that I ate everything this weekend and did not log. I'm excited to get back on track today.0

Don't feel bad I actually gained this week!!!!
I think it was all of the after Easter munching!!!! I stayed in my calorie goal, but jelly beans are a weakness of mine and I had lots this week. (I also had a pretty big loss the week before so maybe that wasn't a true number.)
Next week will be better :-)0 -
I am Alison - and i have been a chronic yo-yo dieter since my early 20's. This site has really been helping me to:
1) really pay attention to what i'm eating because of having to log it all
2) lose weight s-l-o-w-l-y and healthfully instead of starving it off and gaining it back
3) stay accountable!
Having to weigh in like this and post results really helps me to stay motivated: e.g. boyfriend eats chocolate beside me on couch and i can say "no" because i'm thiking about the end result., instead of being the chocolate-eating-ringleader like i would normally be.
So for this week - im 154.8, which is a loss of uhhhh..... i'lll have to check it. But nearly a pound.
And im pretty excited about it because this was what i weighed when i quit drinking 7 years ago - so it makes me feel like im getting somewhere!0 -
p.s. it's a loss of 0.7.
As they say on Bigest Loser "I'll take it!"0 -
I'm going to give the rest of the team another day to post their weight and then I'll do the total for the group.0

looks like ther eare only 3 of us

I had a loss for this week!!!! Only 1 pound but much better than the gain from last week.... I promise I will post the progress tonight. I was a little frustrated after the other members dropped out but we can do this with the 3 of us. It's all about encouraging each other :flowerforyou:0

Yay! Whats weird is that i have't exercised because of my foot injury, but i am watching my food like a hawk. Like a hawk with OCD actually. And the crazy part is it seems to make no difference on the scale whether i exercise or not. The weight loss is at the same excruciatingly slow pace, workout or no. Perhaps i am overestimating my exercise calories. I don't have an HRM and am currently too cheap to buy one....0 -
That makes sense since the website gives you a built in calorie defict, hence the eating back your exercise calories.... Remember slow, but steady wins the race. (My weight loss has been REALLY slow too and that's what I have to keep telling myself). Hope your foot is better soon.
BTW, I love my HRM. I wanted to track my calories burned really close since I tend to do some pretty heavy workouts and need to make sure I eat enought. I think it is a worth while investment!
I'll post this weeks totals tonight.

Well I lost the weight that I gained and then some.... 4.4 pounds this week. Makes me nervous since I had a gain after my last big loss. This week will be important to stay on track with my eating since I don't think I can work out anymore than I already do, lol. Wish me luck!0

Thanks Becca! This weeks was not so sucessful. i'm hoping it's just water weight and weddign food. No loss for me this week. I'll wait 2 days before I call my weight this morning a gain though.
I hope you hguys had a wonderful weekend!0 -
Whoops - sorry forgot 2 post here yesterday,
last week 154.0
this week 152.2
Yippee! That's 1.8 lbs lost - but i think it may partly be due to the unexpected arrival of TOM, suddenly de-bloating me.
What ev's tho - i'll take it!0 -

I wasn't happy with my progress this week either. This morning I was even thinking about raiding the kitchen! Then I had to remind myself it wasn't a gain. You are doing great without being able to workout. Keep up the good eating and you'll be loosing gain in no time0 -
thanks Becca - i needed to hear that!
Of course - it's not a gain, and that's good.
Hey, what r we gonna do next month - want to invite all the old members and see if they'll join us again?0 -
