Manchester run

Hi, just started training for the Manchester run and it has been a wake up call on how much I am out of shape.
The run is 10 K and a few years ago I achived a time of 52 minutes, hopefully I will complete the run in under 1 hour.

Has anyone else started training for this run or another run ? if so do you have any tips on how often I shoud train as the run is only 2 weeks away !

I am new to this website and am really getting into logging my food intake and exercise taken, hopefully I will see some results over the next few weeks. please feel free to invite me as a friend.
