what the heck....need some inputt on what my scales says

Ok so my weight has been all bonkers...
I did the slimfast thingy a while back went from 152 to 138 and managed to maintain on healthy eating and exercise until i went on vacation and blew it....since then i have been between 145-149....not bad but my goal is 129.
So Sunday night - im mortified that my scale says 149.8 AHHH
So i go into calorie restricting mode and eat lower fat foods etc etc...
Monday -146.6
OK ok not bad (ps im on my period too)
So i think ok i will keep away from fried foods and sweets and little by little i can get back to where i want to be.
Tuesday 146.2 - ok so at least its not up
Tuesday evening - 141.4 WHAT THE
Wed morning - 140.4 - OK is someone messing with my scale...
Does that make sences - or was i bloated from my period and now im not eventhough im still on it....i dotn get it - was i bloated for the past 6 mths HAHAHAH
Dont get me wrong i like it but is this false hope - am i going to wake up 149 tomorrow?? god no..
BTW im about 5'8'' and 25 yrs if that helps

In my opinion it probably was water weight. You might have flushed it out or something!
I know I've read a lot of women on here gain up to 5lbs + during that time and lose it when it's over.
Everybody is different!

hmm that makes sence but i was still in the range of 146-149 before my period.
Plus i restricted my calories a bit but nothing major that would be like a flush or anything...and that fast!?? 9 lbs in 3 days sheesh! - mean im not complaining but stumped0 -
Have you tried weighing on another scale to see if it says the same or if there is a difference?
Also, if yours is digital maybe the batteries are going.
Maybe you had a lot of water weight!!!!! We can only hope! lol0 -

Im scared to try another scale it may say 149 again ! LOL0 -
OK, pennie, it IS water weight, or waist and water weight combined. Every single day the body can fluctuate up to five pounds in either direction depending on your body's needs and/or routine for that day. that means you take a weight, say 145, then you draw a line around 150 and 140 and that is your cushion. At any period of time your body will fluctuate up and down through that zone. Some people more then others, it's perfectly normal to be 3 to 5 pounds heavier tonight then you were this morning.
If you want some advice, it's this, don't take any 1 measurement. If you really want to know your weight, pick a time of day, and weigh yourself 5 days in a row at the same time, preferably in the morning. After elimination. Take all five weights, and average them. Then don't look at the scale again for 3 weeks, then do it again. The body is much to sensitive and regular generic bathroom scales are much too INsensitive to weigh yourself every day and expect consistant results.
for example, this week (since last friday) my weight has been 187, 188,181.5, 182, and 184
which gives me a weight of 184.5. I'm not naive enough to think I weigh 181.5 normally (I wish) but I'm also not horrified when I see the 188, it happens. I've seen numbers as high as 192 before, Now, I'm big, so when my body decides it wants to hold water, it can hold quite a bit, but none the less, I think you get the point.
