30 day shred and insatiable hunger!

Why am I so hungry. Aauugghh!
I recently started the 30 day shred at 7.5 pounds mixed with my own cardio, between 15 to 30 minutes on the eliptical and/or treadmill. Any other exercise I do throughout the day I don't normally log. I also don't log my strength workouts. I still like to try and hit 1200 calories but it seems most days I need anywhere between 1600 to 1800 to function. Especially since I began doing weights, there's no way 1200 is logical anymore.
Is this typical?

You are suppose to eat the 1200 plus the exercise calories that you burn.0

I have been averaging 1700 net calories per day, and I am losing. I actually upped my net cals to that to break through a yearlong plateau while doing a hybrid of ChaLean Extreme (heavy lifting) and Turbo Fire (lots of high intensity cardio). It worked! Listen to your body. If it needs the fuel, eat!0
