Since I am a single mom, my 2 girls and live in a small 2 BR apt and of course this means my girls sleep in bunk beds. Since I bought them 2 1/2 yrs ago when my youngest outgrew her toddler bed I have DREADED changing the sheets on the top bunk. It can't be done without climbing on top of the beds and every time I do it I hear creaking sounds and am terrified that I'll break the slats on the top bunk and fall through or that the ladder would break as I climb OR worst of all, the bed would just tip over as I scurry to the top. I am happy to say that today when I changed the sheets the beds didn't make a SOUND!!!!!! SCORE! :)

not strange! My son has a bunk bed and I have the same fears. I won't let him on the bottom if I'm changing the top. :embarassed:

Totally understand - did the same thing for my girls. I hate having to do anything on the top bunk - hoping that will change sometime soon. haven't tested it recently, but you make me want to now, just so I can see how my weight holds up on the top bunk
