I always had long-ish hair until last year when I cut it to around shoulder length. Everyone (including me) LOVED it. But now I'm starting to miss long hair. I think this is just because my friend has really long, gorgeous hair and...yes...I'm jealous. :grumble: I've asked opinions from friends and family- 4 or 5 people said short hair....and 4 or 5 people said long hair....SO...that didn't help! I have pictures from when I first got it cut and what it looks more like now. And my pictures from when it was long...suck. My hair isn't styled in them and it's frizzy and looks like crap. So I guess they don't do it justice. I did one photoshopped picture trying to get one of long straightened hair...but it looks like crap too. lol Just give your opinion the best you can w/ what I give you. lol

Before (long)-- AGAIN, CRAPPY PICTURES. My hair looks like crap in these...

I just look gross in this one...:embarassed:

And my attempt at photoshopping it longer...lol....

And After (short)

This is when it was first cut..about shoulder-length

A little later...a little longer

Right now it's about to my collar-bone

Ok, so, obviously if I choose long, I'll just grow it out. If I choose short, I'm going to go back to about shoulder-length and layers. Let me know what YOU think I should do! I can't decide!!!!! :ohwell:

Well, I can't see your photos, but as an older woman whose beautiful thick hair is starting to thin, I'd say keep it long while it's luxurious. Enjoy it, because someday it really will look better short, then you can cut it short.

I looked at your profile....you look great either way, but I like the shoulder length on you a tad more.

you need to use the img link... and make sure to change the img letters at the beginning and end of the link from upper case to lower case

Yeah, my hair is SUPER thick right now. Personally, I wish it were a bit thinner because it would be a lot easier to work with...but I also have a friend who has short, really thing hair and it's...not very pretty...:ohwell: So I guess I should be happy with thick hair! lol

Hair does grow back but I keep mine long ( my mother believes if you are over 40 you should not have long hair) I like to put it up when I am hot so I never have it too short. If you keep it trimmed and it is healthy grow it as long as you want!

haha good point! yeah I think I'm leaning more towards cutting it...especially since it's almost summer and short hair is easier in the humid summer temps... But my parents both said long and my sister and her friends were giving me a list of reasons why I should grow it long (one being it would be easier to throw up in a pony tail when I'm in a hurry....yeah, but it takes FOREVER to style LONG THICK hair). But then I see my friend's hair and I just really wish I had long, gorgeous hair that ran down my shoulders and blew in the wind like something from a dramatic slow-motion movie...lol...

well this may help you decide theres a website called taaz.com which lets you edit your hair long short colour make up ect when i want to get my hair cut i usually look at it i think for you also short and long suite you but I think long hair with a front fringe would look good and you can go a little bit darker like a chocolate brown or maybe even dark red if you want more fullness in your hair easy solution is extensions which you can live the best of both worlds short when you feel like it long when you feel like it

Agreed, I think the shoulder length seems to suit you a little more

I recently went through the same situation.....I had my hair short for about two years (shoulder length), and all i could do was dream about long flowing hair...so I let it grow out, pass the girls, for about a year. Well when it was long, all I could do was think about wanting it short. Then I decided to finally get it cut short because long hair is long hair, but with a short haircut, it's more of a style (according to my mom lol). Plus I live in Florida, and have thick wavy/curly hair so it's easier to take care of when it's short!
So anyways...I say get it cut short! It will grow back, plus it'll be nice for short hair in the summer! :)
