My boyfriend and I are going on vacation next week and I want to be ready. Does anyone have any advice on how to control yourself on vacation? We are going to Monterey and I know there will be lots of good food and I'm afraid I won't be able to help myself. In need of some support and ideas of eating wonderful food while staying under my cal count!
Don't want to gain back the 10 lb I lost!

I just got back from vacation 2 weeks ago i gained 3 lbs:sad: . So if you can live with gaining a little bit of weight then enjoy your vacation. But remember this is a lifestyle change and you need to over come any obsticles that come your way. Take it as a challenge for you, prove to yourself that you have will power. Enjoy all the awesome food but with moderation. Have a great vacation :)

Eating out can actually be a blessing in disguise. Plenty of restaurants have many healthy options. Order salads without cheese or dressing. If you nix or reduce the sauce and cheese on anything you can halve the calories. Order veggies instead of french fries, whole wheat instead of white bread, and skip the appetizers. You can still have delicious foods. Even desert, just order one and split it with your boyfriend.
Find parks and hiking trails to walk around. Explore the city via bike or foot. Go to museums. Generally aim to keep active all day and make sure that food is not the highlight, just a way of keeping you alive while you enjoy vacation.

    Have fun!

I think it's about taking the lessons you have learnt and your new awareness of what makes you feel good on holidays with you.

You can definitley enjoy the nice food and drinks but be aware of how much you are eating. Have one margarita (yum!) then a soda water and think about whether you actually need/want another one.

If you have something decadent at one meal - you don't have to eat all that is on your plate. And you don't have to do this at every meal. If you have a big brekky, make lunch lighter etc.

See how many active things you can fit in - walking is great and so is swimming and anything else that keeps your body moving.

But, most of all - enjoy your vacation!
