Diary excerise/calorie

why does it sometimes show up as completed exercise & calorie for the day & sometimes it says that along with and was within calorie goal. Whats the difference if any?

The only time I've "Seen" the difference where it doesn't indicate "within calorie goal" usually means they went over, I was over by 1 calorie 2 nights ago and just got the "I completed my diary"

was my message for the day I was over by a single calorie.

and

Pandorian completed his food and exercise diary for 05/01/2011 and was under his calorie goal.
was my message today when I left 202 calories on the table.

It will show "[username] has completed their food and exercise diary" if you are exactly at 0 or over your daily intake. If you are 1 calorie, or more, under your net calories, it will show "[username] has completed their food and exercise diary, and was under their calorie goal."
