ok so time and time again I've hear and read that it take 3,500 cals burned to lose one pound. Right? Well I burned just that this week and ate my recommend food amount plus 200-300. My thing says I didn't for two reasons I just upped my amount to see if that helps and I didn't eat the cals I burned.
SO the point is I gained a little over two pounds! I didn't lose ANY inches and my pants fit tighter!! I drink so much water that I spend more time in the bathroom or drinking it then I do anything else.
I worked WAY too hard the past few weeks for this to be going on. This is way I gave up th first go around. Five months and I only lost 13lbs. I was stuck for 3 of them not losing anything. Paid a hospital dieitition to review me and she said I was almost perfect! And her biggest concern was I didn't have a life, that it was all diet and exercise! Haha!
HELP! Ready to give up again. :( NOT worth the effort for this crap!

Don't give up! We all have our plateaus. Look up the forums on here for zig zagging calories. I have hit a plateau then gained a couple of pounds went down to where I was then back up 1/2 pounds. So that's when I decided to start zig zagging. I just started Friday and there are so many ways to zig zag that I might have to switch up my game plan to get it right.

Everybody's body is so different. Try to listen to it and see what it is telling you. It will feel worse to give up!

Friend me if you want more support:)

I am in the same boat. I have been at this for about 6 weeks now and have only lost 3 lbs. My clothes are no different either. I am not giving up because I realize that although the scale is not changing like I want to see, I realize that I am getting into shape. I am now on level 3 of 30 day shred and although it still kicks my butt I am able to keep up better than i was when i first began. I sleep better at night and I have more energy during the day all because of a healthier life style. So I say forget the scale and base it on how you feel. Good luck, the weight will come off eventually (or that is what I tell myself).

If you open up your diary, people might be able to offer suggestions.

I'll do that ! I do know two things I NEED to do is not eat fast food even though I don't over eat I still red to cut it. (it's my fiancé fault. He only eats that crap and I can't not eat and I do try and make healthy choices) and my sodium is bad but I do drink tons of water (I don't always log it all).

Don't give up! When I Googled how many calories to lose a pound I found everything from 300 calories to the 3500 you mentioned. For some people the weight seems to drip off them, others (me included) it seems to take it's time. You do need to make sure you are eating enough to keep your body going on a daily bases, if not your body will hold onto fat.

I have only been on this site for a week, but I have followed the goals it set for me on calories burned per day/week and calories eaten. I have been under on calories eaten most days, anywhere from 60 calories to 200. My calories burned have only been over by 15 per day.

Not sure if any of this will help you or not, but so far it's been working for me.
