So I want to know if anyone else does a high intensity, fast paced strength training, (mine is modeled after the body for life) and puts it in the MFP calculator to get so few calories. I reassure myself that it doesn't matter, If i burned more calories then it will benefit me anyways. Just my little Monday morning rant. Keep up the good work everyone

I wear my HRM while strength training. I burn WAY more on highly intense workouts with few break and fast pace than on slow, "old school" weight lifting days. I'd say about 50% more, actually.

I've been saying circuit training on the days that I do the high intensity, fast paced strength training. I take no breaks in between sets, I m constantly lifting for 30 minutes and working multiple muscle groups at once. I feel that it's a much better way to count the calories burned.

If it's "high intensity, fast paced" log it as circuit training under the cardio section instead of strength training and the cals will probably be closer to correct.
The best bet is to wear a HRM with chest strap. Even that's not perfectly accurate but it is usually closer than MFPs estimates for each individual person.

Awesome, I will get a HRM today. I don't take breaks so circuit training will be much better.

I normally burn around 250 calories on the days that I strength train and I'm normally more hungrier afterwards so I need those extra calories.
