I am trying very hard to commit to this whole dieting thing. I love this site, but its sure hard to see your calories be used up so fast. Good reality check anyway. I am finding that I do good for a few days and then i am back down to zero again. And I just get the feeling that I cant do this anymore, I cant exercise, either I am too hot or too tired. How do you get over that and push yourself everyday to exercise. I feel like it is a big chore to me. ANy suggestions anyone. Please give some insight that exercising is fun. I have 2 children, work full time and I am just exhausted. I try to do my exercising in the morning before I get the kids ready for theday. I try to get up around 5, but lately its always that I sleep in the extra hour and just get ready for work instead. Please help me someone.

Find something you enjoy!!!!! Do you like to dance? Do you like working out to DVD's or going for a nice walk? Take it one day at a time, start small, 15 mins here, 15 there. You can do it!!!!!
I hope this helps0 -
I find that setting mini goals really help me A LOT. Like I'll set a goal to do some form of exercise for the next five days straight..something like that. It works for me!0

Hey, working out doesn't have to feel like a chore! Have you heard of Team Beachbody?? OMGosh, their vids are SO much fun! I'm a fitness coach over there and I'd love to help you every step of the way. You can sign up for FREE at my link www.mid-mofitclub.com and I will be assigned to you as your personal fitness coach...for free! I've been with them for over a year now & I love it! The workouts are fun...doesn't even seem so much like working out. Have you heard of Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, Slim In 6, Yoga Booty Ballet, P90X...just to name a few? If not, you are missing out on some great workouts. Dieting alone will not give you results that will last. Only by building some muscle tone along with eating healthier will get you into fat burning mode! What everyone else here said is true...take it one day at a time & try not to overwhelm yourself. Just have fun with it! Do what you can in what time you have and make the best of it. What helps me is knowing how great I feel right after my workout. I hope I helped a little? I had to plug my fav website though b/c I am a coach there & I totally love it. If you decide to check out my site, let me know if you have any questions! I'm happy to help! My email is heyu611@yahoo.com. Have a wonderful night! ~Tina0

Okay Sunkizzed......I have 2 kids and work full-time also. I use to be just like you!!! As far as eating the stuff we aren't suppose to, I just tell myself "I will eat this again, but not right now" And for exercising, I take my kids to the rec center with me. While I walk for 30 mins to an hour, they play on the playground. I sometime reward my older son with fishing trips for reading and while he fishes I just walk around the area for the 30-60 minutes. I don't want to sound harsh but if you really want it you will make adjustments and find ways to accomplish it. This was told to me not too long ago and eversince I have been on this train ride and finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Good Luck, you can do! I know you can.0

It's going to be a challenge but...as emikarls said, see if you can find something. Maybe enlist your kids to a stand up -sit down contest during commercials, or if you can get your hands on a HRM start looking at your household chores as exercise.
Running a vacuum DOES burn calories!!! If you check in the exercise listings I cleaning is listed... so break out of the box and start thinking about the bits and pieces of housework as exercise. Those 10-15 minutes do add up.
The other thing ..if you do watch TV, is using those commercials. Grab a couple of soup cans and do curls, or leg lifts. One of my best motivators is logging those exercise minutes and seeing those exercise calories
The other is after two weeks I'm back (comfortably!!!) in size 16 jeans (at least till I wash them) and I'm down at least 3 lbs!!! So, go get em!!! A little at a time.....

I can sooooooooo share in your pain! Before I came here, I would workout maybe 3 or 4 times a week, and not watch the caloric intake, and basically call it good. What I found here is that I have all the tools to get this going in the right direction, yea!
So now I go workout 4-5 times per week, and have increased my workouts as well. This morning, when I got to the club, I really didn't want to do anything at all. But once I got going, and plugged in my iPod (can't workout without it!), I felt better. During a break, a gal pal there told me that she thought I must be in "Great condition!" Huh? I'm 50 yrs young, and 60 lbs overweight... obese BMI, etc. Not what I think to be in great shape, mind ya. But she said that she watches me workout, putting in 2 sets with the Elliptical (35 minutes each) and then a lap around the circuit for strength training, and there was no way she could ever do that! So, maybe sometimes it is an attitude after all. Plus, like Ezzie said, you get creative in finding ways to burn calories. A couple of days ago, we were having family over for my world famous BBQ pork ribs. Si decided to spic and span the deck, and voila, burned another 700+ calories! If you don't have a HRM, get one! Then you can put actual numbers to activities, and see what a difference doing thoise things makes.
Oh yeah, welcome to the original "we put fun in dysfunctional" family! The support here is nothing short of awesome! Luv all you gals n guyz...0
