So the calories it shows- those are including exercise calories ? You don't eat back right?

The calories the site gives you under the fat loss column are TOTAL calories...what you eat.

MFP give you NET calories (Food Eaten - Exercise calories)

Yes you must eat back your exercise calories! So you will eat to the TOTAL that is suggested on freedieting.com because it already accounts for exercise but on MFP it will register as NET (green +/ red - numbers)

    does that answer your question?

I don't understand how you had negative calories on a day you do not exercise.

I just clarified this on the blog....the number itself wasn't negative, but rather MFP showed it as -256 calories (in red on Food tab) over my MFP net allotment of 1370 a day.

    sorry for the confusion.

Tagging for later. I still don't understand and have read many posts on zig-zagging but I think if I take the time to figure it out it will make sense.

Message me if you are confused and I can use numbers specific to you. its not too complicated but its tough to explain in text sometimes.

I've been sending my spreadsheet out to those with questions. Message me with the following:

    age, height, weight, gender

days you work out each week AND approximate calories burned each time

the daily calories MFP gives you

I'll send you the calories you should eat each day under this plan AND how it will show up on MFP. The numbers the site I referenced provide are the calories you should EAT and don't depend on exercise. However, when you use MFP the total you eat has the calories you burn subtracted from it to give you a green or red "calories remaining" number on your food tab.

Its really not confusing once I have your specific info!

So basically once you've worked out your numbers on that site, and worked it in right with the days you exercise, you just focus on the total food amount instead of looking at the net number correct? We ignore the 'net calories' part and all the stuff about eating back your exercise calories because that's already been factored into your calculated totals right? And you can rearrange the days according to when you do more or less exercise, as long as there's still plenty of variation between the days I presume.

    Thanks!
