Calorie expenditure function on my HRM

Hi! Does anyone have any information on how to set the calorie expediture function on HRMs? The factory sets an automatic coefficient at 1 and although I've been working out hard, my calories burned seem really high: 500-670 cal for 46 minutes of Zumba Cardio Party. I would really LOVE to believe that two sessions of Zumba send me close to or over the 1000 cal burned range, but it doesn't seem very realistic when I see how much others are burning for similar activities. Thanks for any help:smile:

I sometimes burn upwards of 800 calories in a one hour session of Zumba, so it might be pretty close to being right!

Yes, it has a chest strap, but one of the values you can enter/change when putting in height, weight, age etc. is this coefficient value that I have no idea what to do with.

I wish I knew. I've been trying to find out on the net but I can't get any 'comprehesible' info. How frustrating!

Well, then! You seem to be making fantastic progress, so until I get some 'scientific?' information, I'll just use you as my coefficient!
