Better to try and burn off yesterday's excess calories...

...or just start the day anew?
I PURPOSEFULLY went over my calories yesterday by 400, without regret. 400 extra calories for this really flippin' good pesto pizza.
However I have it set to lose 2 lbs a week, which means that my calorie goal is 1000 less than the number to maintain.
What I'm wondering is whether it'd be best to work off an extra 400 calories today (and not eat them, considering them as having been eaten 'in advance' last night)
or just let it be, consider myself as having cut 600 calories out of my intake yesterday and that's it.
I know we're supposed to eat our exercise calories. Would it count as eating our exercise calories if we did it in reverse? might be a silly question?

I would suggest forgetting about it and starting fresh today. Our bodies don't have an ongoing tally of calories eaten vs. calories burned. Just enjoy the little treat you had yesterday and focus on your goals today!0
