OK the first time I tried this I lost a lot of weight quickly. I worked my butt off and really focused on my food. The problem with that is that I worked too hard too quickly and I was obsessed with food. I wore myself out with my workouts, so much that I'd have to take lots of days off during the week because I just didn't have the energy. Not good! I also took a lot of no carb days because I knew that it'd make me lose a couple of pounds quickly. But then I'd be craving carbs. I also ate lots of fast food still because I told myself it was ok and I'd work it off the next day.
So big surprise...I gained a lot of the weight back.
This time around I'm taking it slower. I'm remembering that I'm going to keep this up for life. I take a 30 minute walk with my dog every day and I have a rotating workout schedule of weights and cardio. I take one day off a week to rest my body. I'm not killing myself with workouts this time. I'm also not obsessed with food. I'm eating better. I'm not leaving anything out like carbs because I know I'll binge later if I do. The most amazing thing though is that I haven't had a soda or fast food in over 2 weeks. Soda isn't that hard for me to cut out, which surprises me cuz I was a pepsiholic. But I really think I was addicted to fast food, which I've talked about on here before. So there were some days when I wanted it sooo bad. But I didn't give in. Now it doesn't even really sound good at all. I really believe that not having those things has made me feel better as a whole. When I would have soda or fast food, I'd crave more sugar all together and I'd have less energy. I don't get bad sugar cravings anymore and I have so much energy! I'm losing about 1 pound a week, but the great thing is that I really don't care about the number on the scale this time. I can see and feel the skinniness of my body! I haven't felt this good in so long. And I know this is something that I can do for life. I'm very proud of myself for getting it right this time around. Now it's time for some tae bo

congrats! that is the best way to loose weight permanently-slowly, moderation, and still enjoy life. isn't it amazing how different the body feels when you loose even as little as 3 lbs? especially after a hard work-out? it's great.0
