The bmi is moving down!

So this is my first time on a Diabetic meal plan. I resisted for so long because I was just overwhelmed at the sheer control I would have to undertake with my eating and exercise. This site has been a blessing that literally is saving my life. At the age of 37 I had a heart attack and had a stent placed in my heart. There is nothing to scare the crap out of you as much as someone looking over you and saying you are having a heart attack..right now.

2 years of denial and having no clue to what to do I finally got my **** together. Today my bmi moved from the OBESE (jesus is there a word worse than this?!) to OVERWEIGHT. I am now about 24 pounds from my goal and being healthy. The weight is not as important to me as getting that bmi down because, for me, it IS a matter of life or death.

Every Monday when I weigh myself at the gym, and I see the number go down... I sit in my car stunned and wanting to cry.
