Shedding six for May - who's with me?

Oh, and I've booked my holiday. Two nights in Whitstable starting 1st June, so bang on the money for this thread! Not sure it's a bikini location though...0

So, my 10k is over and done with; it went really well, and at 48:20 I finished well below my goal of 50min. Yay me!
Then my hubby and I went out for a fancy restaurant 8 course meal last night, as a celebration. Needless to say, I have quite a lot of calories to make up for... So will go for a long run tonight, then a spin class AND a dance class at the gym tomorrow. Hopefully, that will get me back down before I weigh in with my trainer on Tuesday!0 -
That's SO speedy beyond my wildest dreams. HUGE congratulations!
Well done for breaking your plateau Helen.
Biggest calorie burn EVER today, 723 on an 8.2km walk/run.
Here's a crane I saw during one of my plods along the local river:

Nearly had a full-on rest day before I remembered my goals! Nice DVD workout and a healthy dinner.0

Good for you! I have had a couple of good days; hope that will have brought me back to normal after this weekend's food extravaganza. Weigh-in with my trainer this afternoon, so time will show!0 -
Felt really hungry ALL day today - have no idea why!! Still measured & have lost half an inch off hips!!
Well done on the run Inge fantastic time - also in my dreams only!! Am also doing a 10k saturday but don't think I will beat my 70 mins from last year as my head not really in right place at moment but will still enjoy the run - it's for cancer research. Trying to eat a few more carbs this week & hydrate properly.
Friday is weigh day!!

Congratulations on the measurements, and I am always pleased when I feel hungry because I believe appetite increases when metabolism increases (I may be wrong on this though!).
Today I lost another 1.25 pounds, bringing me to 2 pounds lost overall this month so far. Four pounds left!0 -
Great progress ladies! I've gained back two pounds with accompanying indigestion, which I hope illustrates it's just something I ate, so I'm cutting down on bread and pasta until I deflate!
I've got a freebie session with a personal trainer at my gym tonight, so I'm hoping a routine to stick to between running sessions will help kick my butt into shape. Literally!0 -
That PT session really kicked my butt yesterday! Perhaps I shouldn't have had half an hour on the treadmill first... Going to try and keep up the workout intensity. Also trying wheat free/slow carb/high fibre for a couple of days to get my belly back on the straight and narrow in time for weigh-in!0

Pound off today! Not sure I'm going to meet the full six this month, but with a little dedication I should come in under the 13 stone mark.0

 Well had a successful 10k run today knocking 5 mins off my time from last year - did 65 mins - really didnt expect to do a better time so well pleased with that!! Next year going to have to aim for 60 mins (eek)!! That means with the cals burned today I can have some long awaited vino tonight!!! :drinker:
PS How do u add photos on here? Hope it easy as I am thick when it comes to that!! Cheers :flowerforyou:0 -
Amazing performance Dragonfly, that's an awesome time! To post pictures, upload them to something like Photobucket, select them and copy the the IMG code. Change the capital letter IMG at the beginning and end to lower case img and you're sorted.
Well I've been slacking on this thread as well as my workouts :-(
HOWEVER, the commitement I made here has at least made sure I've burnt at least 200 cals a day. It's just those 700+ days I'm missing! I have some lovely photos to share too.0 -
Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've been so busy with studying...
I have lost another 3/4 pound since the last post, getting me down to 2.75 pounds lost in May. I don't think I'm going to make the 6 pound mark by the end of May unfortunately. I've had my TOM, which is where I lose the majority of my weight (I only lost 2.75 pounds) so it's another 6 weeks until anything major will happen. (I have a 6 week cycle).
Still, there's no harm in trying to lose weight despite all of that!
I don't really know what to do now. I am taking regular rest days from running, but I don't know whether to do different exercise on my rest days. If so, what exercise... I haven't joined a gym yet. I do have the 30 Day Shred videos though. Oh, I don't know.
Maybe it's time to fork out for gym membership. I don't really want to though...0 -
Update: Lost another 0.25 pounds yayay half way there.0
