Turbo Accomplishments!

as i neared the end of my Punch, Kick, & Jam workout this morning (had an urge to do this workout today because i just  it and even though i have been Turbo Fire and CLX - i have NEVER taken Punch, Kick, & Jam out of the rotation! ) i started to think about how far i have come since the first day i popped in a Turbo Jam workout and pushed play.

i was 30lbs heavier and i couldn't get through the Punch, Kick & Jam routine at all - i actually stopped it in frustration and thought that i would never be able to get through it, much less enjoy it. that was 2007. when i really committed to being healthy at the start of 2009, i thought - OH NO YOU DON'T Turbo! i WILL take you down!

i remember feeling like i was dying, noodle legs, and sore feet. i remember having to modify tons of moves and taking several water breaks. but what i remember most is the sense of accomplishment i felt when i finally DID make it through Punch, Kick, & Jam and how utterly AMAZING it felt to get through the capoeira routine at the end (still the most powerful moves!!). for 6 months the Punch, Kick, & Jam routine became my go to "LCW" workout (last chance workout) the day before my weigh-ins. finishing it today reminded me of how much stronger, motivated, and aware i am of my own abilities! oooooooooie i LOVE me some TURBO!!

so turbo friends, what are YOU proud of and what turbo accomplishments can YOU brag about???

Hey, I just bought Turbo Fire for my wife. She's into that and I thought it would be fun to do. I'll probably do it too. I've got P90X, Insanity and I just got Asylum in the Mail! Great job on your accomplishments! Keep it up.

As a fairly new user (started in Feb 2011), I'm looking forward to being where you are with TF. Right now, it's a huge deal for me when I can keep up with PKJ, doing ALL of every section without stopping. Some days I still have to take a break or jog for the last few second of a segment, but sometimes I can go all the way through. That really feels like an accomplishment.

I bought Turbo Jam originally back in 2006-ish. It stayed put away when I got a personal trainer and a full time gym membership. Ive recently pulled the DVDs back out, and MAN DID I MISS THEM! Im trying to build myself back up to where I was before, but Im going longer every time and my moves are more efficient. Its a GREAT time.

I'm on week 5 of P90X and my wife wanted to work out together, but did not want to do P90X (didn't excite her) So I told her to find one he liked and I would do it with her...she decide on Turbo Fire, so I am doing P90X in the morning and Turbo Fire with her at night. I am only on my second day with it but I do like the high energy!

You know, it's the little victories for me. When it's 5:30 in the morning and I smile because I got my second wind right around the time "Boom, I Got Your Boyfriend" starts playing. When I put 10 % more in, just because I now can. And especially when I don't curse at Chalene when she tells me that I'm not tired, when I REALLY am!

Yes more Turbo fans! I'm in my 2nd week of religiously doing TJ and funny enough all last week, all I did was Punch, kick and Jam. First 4 days were rough but now its getting easier. Yesterday I did my 50 mins of PKJ and later that day did an extra 20 mins starting off from the capoiera part. I LOVE that part, love it love it. It makes you feel awesome and tough.

So yeah, in just a week I've already seen huge improvements in my endurance. Today did the Cardio Part Mix 3 and finished it no problem, of course pouring sweat and all but my lungs don't bother me at all anymore. I love how fit these videos get you and so quickly too.

I'm a TJ fan for life! Looking to start doing Turbofire in a couple of months after doing this. Can't wait :)

these are all so awesome!! and yes it IS the little things that matter, because after a while the little things add up! i didn't have trouble with PK&J one time and do it perfectly the next week! it took a lot of work to build up the strength and endurance, especially after 25 years of basically never exercising :) so keep patting yourselves on the back, we are all doing SOMETHING and staying MINDFUL of our health each and every day - and that is the biggest accomplishment of them all!
