So, you've decided to take this journey to a healthier you. Everyone has a why.
My WHY = To be a good example for my children.
To be as healthy as I can be.
Staying young in mind, body, & spirit.
To get off of the blood pressure meds.
My sanity, & stress relief.

My WHY is partially my desire to just look good and feel good about myself, and partially seeing my Dad pass away from heart failure after living a not so healthy lifestyle.0

I'm over being fat.
I have a cruise in august and don't want to be grossed out by pix of me.0 -
Most of my family that has diabetes got it because of their unhealthy lifestyles, and I don't want to be the next person to get it, especially at so young an age. Plus, I want to be more active and have kids some day, and living a long life where you get to see your kids grow up only comes from living a healthy life.0

Great Post, Kim! My WHY:
~ Feeling good about myself, and not letting self-doubt get in the way of anything I do
~ My sanity, too! Endorphins are the best therapy!
~ To defy the odds - Obesity and High Blood Pressure run in my family
~ More superficially, to gather more race bibs for my growing collection!
And I am far from having kids yet (grad school...) but I have this vision of being able to go for a run with my kids or play soccer or just run around at the playground, and I want to instill in them the idea of fitness by setting a great example.0 -
My why... Just wanted to feel and look better. Also, I wanted to get back inshape. I wanted to beable to run again and exercise without feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack. I saw my picture in that paper and a video of me on TV, that really kicked me in the *kitten*. I saw how I looked to everybody else, and didn't like it.0

My number one reason is for health. I don't want to end up on blood pressure meds, and I was definitely headed in that direction.
Also, I want more energy. I'm tired of being tired and not wanting to get out and do things. I don't want to just be an observer anymore, I want to be a participant.
I'm tired of being self-conscious about my size.0 -
My Why... I'm tired of being overwieght. I was to look as good as I feel! Plus, it would be nice to be able to walk into a store and not have to go to the Plus Size section to buy clothes. (for that fact, not have to pay $20-$40 extra when in a wedding and needing a plus size bridesmaid dress)0

Plain and simple.....I want the old me back. I miss that guy. The guy I grew up with who was thin, energetic, looked good with his shirt off and was HEALTHY. I need to bring that guy back. He isn't dead, but he has been lost for a few years and it is time he came back. I know my wife won't asy it but she wants him back as well. He is an awesome guy and he is going to enjoy not being locked away in a place that rivals Hell.0

Can I borrow this WHY for myself? I'd like to start such a collection for myself!0 -
My Why....
I never want to not be able to do something with my son. Things as small as running in the park or as big as zip lining on vacation.
I want to to grow up with his Mom by his side, not sitting on the sidelines.0 -
I love to hike and walk around and be active. It's so much easier to do those things when you're not carrying around a bunch of extra weight. Plus, I really just want to feel good about my health and good about myself. :happy:0

Why?
*To feel SEXY again
*To like my body and not be ashamed of it
*To feel confident0 -
My biggest why is to be a better example to my children, especially my daughter.
The other why for me is being really tired of loathing every picture taken of me. I have deleted enough of myself from family memories. It's time to own who I am and what this body looks like.

My WHY is to become pregnant. I want to increase my chances of conceiving so we can start our family. I also want to live a longer healthier life for my family. And of course looking better in pictures is always a perk.0
