So...... I am stuck!!! Started my weight loss at 156 (I am 5'3) had a baby 14 weeks ago and now I am at 131. I am so frustrated as I seiously have not lost more then a pound in a month! I have added cardio, strength training and changed my diet for what feels like the millionth time and still I stay where I am at! I WILL NOT GIVE UP! I just do not know what else to do it almost seems like I am going backwards. I work out 4-5 days a week and jog/face paced walk 2.5 miles 3 times a week and the other 3 days I do eliptical and bike. Aside from starving myself I have no clue what other direction to turn (BTW I am not down with the no food) I log every thing I take in and still nothing. No weight gain no weight loss just stuck! I have noticed that my belly is flatter and my legs and arms are more toned but still the number on the scale and the tape measure the same week after week! What the he** am I doing wrong? Any advice would be great.... I am also starting P90X in the next 2 weeks:noway:

Unless you are really short, 131 may be the weight that your body finds ideal.
This is may be frustrating if you were expecting something else, but getting to know and understand your body is really something to celebrate!!0 -
I get that but honeslty I have never weighted more then 122 my whole life... with the exception of pregnancy! So this is a really hard pill to swallow for me.0

well, you (like me) are what they call small time losers.....lean people looking to get leaner. So, the advice is to really be diligent about eating back exercise calories.....and not cutting your calorie intake to severely. Meaning you don't want to large of a deficit - the body simply will not let go of any fat with a large deficit.
And, double check that your maintanence calories are appropriate for what you do. Being a young mom, you are definitely active! (in the goals section you have to choose sedentary, light , moderate, etc.)
Then from that just deduct about 15-20% of those calories for a slow weight loss and manually enter that inn your goals. And focus on your muscle toning along with cardio. Strong muscles will burn whatever fat you've got more efficiently.

I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you. You are doing amazing. The way you're losing (slow and stead) is MUCH preferred. It will stay off so much longer. Also you haven't GAINED anything! That is always cause for self praise. I admire your dedication. Keep it up0

Try changing what you are eating. You maybe eating too much fat and too much sodium. Or go 100% vegetarian/vegan for a week. Or cut out all, and I mean all, white flour and sugar. Don't eat less than your calorie allotment, just eat differently. Congrats on losing 25 pounds!0

Are you nursing? Your body may be trying to maintain this higher weight in order to be a healthy mom and really, is anything more important than that?!0 -

no I am not nursing... I did at first but when I started back to work full time I did not have time0 -
oh my goodness. You had a baby 4 months ago, breast fed for a few and are down to that weight. you may not like this, but chill...give your body time to heal. You are just getting your hormones back into some sense of balance. You probably look fantastic. But I know you have goals and good for you, but please, give yourself time. and Congrats- baby's are great0

Thanks to all you for your words. I know I am not alone and my push to lose this weight comes because I found out not to long ago that my dad is needing a kidney transplant and I am a match! I would love to be able to donate this to him but I also know that in order to do so I have to take care of myself. With me having 2 young kids and a pretty demanding job I would like to not be in recovery for long....0
