Howdy!

Long time fitness-er, first time "pal"er (apologies for the bad jokes). I'm new, obviously, and looking for motivation and support to lose the weight I gained whilst writing my doctoral dissertation last year. I'm getting married in January 2012, so how's THAT for motivation? I'm absolutely intimidated by the whole trying on wedding dress process/ordeal/torture!

I've also signed up to run two half-marathons in the fall, so I have plenty of training to do! I ran three last year, but then stopped running in order to complete school.

Anyway, looking forward to MFP!
