There are about 295 calories in a pound of pineapple, so .3 pounds should be 85.5 calories.

Yes, it's confusing when one measures volume and one measures weight. Two very different methods. Thank heavens for MFP and the internet... makes like much easier. Wish you lots of success!

I have a tendency to use my kitchen scale the first time I am eating something which is measured in volume instead of weight. Once I know how much a serving of something actually weighs, I can more easily calculate it.

For example, mayonnaise. Who really wants to grab a tablespoon and use it every time? So much of the mayo ends up staying in the spoon and it's a pain to clean. However, once you know what two tablespoons of mayo actually weighs, you can put the container with the food you are adding it to onto the scale, tare it, then add that much mayo. Voila!

1/4" slice of pineapple is approximately 30 cals.
