Hello all,

My friend turned me onto this site. We have been sharing a google document for the past few months to track each others diet and exercise as a way of motivation. Found out that one of the biggest problems was keeping track of calories. That's how we found this site.

I'm 28, medical student, and pretty active. I'm 5'6 and 191lbs right now. My goal is to get to 155lbs. This thing says I should be at 1400Kcals in order to lose 2lbs/week. That seems hard but I will try and see how it goes. My exercise is from cycling. I ride twice around central park each day which turns out to be about 15 miles and I do it in about 1 hour. I notice that when I am very consistent with exercise (5/7 days) I really start to lose weight. My problem has usually been getting into a program hard and fast and burning out a few weeks later before I see much results. Anyway, looking for all the support I can get. How does this work do people post what they do every day somewhere on the forum?

    Hi,
I think you'll really enjoy this site. I joined a year ago and it has been all that's worked for me. Feel free to send a friend invite and we can motivate one another. It sounds like you get great exercise. I have not been good lately...inconsistent with getting to the gym. I need to work on it. My daily calorie intake is 1200 which I've been struggling to stay at. Some days are better than others. If the weather here in MN would warm up I'll be out walking again.
