Dieting is HARD!!!

Hello everyone! I joined this site 2 days ago looking for some motivation! I've been working out hard core since January. When I say hard core it means 4 to 5 days a week I'm in the gym sweating like crazy! I finally met my goal last week and ran 2 miles on the ellyptical in 15 minutes then the next day I did it in 14.5 minutes! Problem is I have not lost a single freaking pound!!!
So starting today I'm DIEting. It's not that I don't like healthy foods....I just like bread, pasta, chocolate and salt way better.
Someone once told me that if you want to lose weight you should take your current weight and divide it in half and that's how many ounces of water you should drink per day. Anyone else ever heard that? That's a LOT of water, I'd be leaving my desk every 5 minutes to pee!! Hmmm do they make stadium buddies for women??? LOL
