I am a bored eater. I have learned to bargain with myself. For example if I want to eat and it's not a meal time I will make myself drink a whole glass of water first. Or I will chew a stick of gum for 30-60 minutes. And if I'm still really wanting to eat, then I'll go ahead and eat. This might help out a bit? Also, you could also make yourself go for a 10 minute walk first. A lot of times getting up and moving helps and if you still want to eat after that, sweet, you burned off a few calories anyway.0

Great info folks... good stuff! I stumbled into this topic because I have the exact same problem as the original poster. Love some of these ideas, and looking forward to giving some of them a try.
