Daily weight variation

What is a normal variation in weight during the day? I know I shouldn't weigh in constantly, but sometimes its hard to avoid that scale when I know how much effort I am putting in to this. In the AM, when I am most dehydrated, I weighed in around 195. 12 hrs later I usually weigh in around 2-3 lbs heavier. Is that normal?

youre not supposed to weigh yourself every single day anyways for real results.0

Yes...but you really shouldn't worry about any other weight but the morning one. Actually weighing daily could drive you crazy...try doing it just once or twice per week. I should practice what I preach...somedays I weigh more then once but the morning one is the only one that counts. And I only log my weigh-ins every 2 weeks.0

Yup, fluctuation is normal!
In fact, before I go to sleep I weigh myself and record it and then weigh myself in the morning to see the difference. And I usually weigh myself after dinner, too. Today, after dinner, I weighed 2 more pounds than I did in the morning.
And real results have nothing to do with stepping on a scale every day. I get what she was trying to say but it came across as if you weigh yourself every day you won't see results. You will. I do. It's what keeps me motivated.0 -
Its normal. I weigh myself like 10 times a day. lol
In the morning, before I use the bathroom, afterwards, after I eat, at the end of the day. Hahaaa.
I just do it to see what's going on. I don't ever get upset about it tho.
If the scale goes up 3 lbs, I just think to myself, "Daaaaang I ate something heavy!!"0 -
I was having the same question, I do normally only weigh in in the morning time to avoid fluctuation..but I can still vary within a 5lb range? Is that normal?0
