Not quite new, but finally ready to rock

I've been on here for quite a while, but only became serious about doing this around late March. I've wasted too many good years being overweight and not living right. With a bad family history, I really shouldn't be taking chances with my health any longer. On top of that, I'm in a pretty decent band, and its hard to feel like a rock star when you're dragging around too much extra weight. This change is overdue.... its great to have a nice community for support when things get difficult.

I've had great success so far, and with so many awesome people here, I'd like to build up my friend's list, so if anyone wants another friend, I'd love to add. This place has such a great supportive community with so many successful people. We can all do this together.

The funny thing about calorie counting is that I KNOW it works... I've done it before to quite a bit of success, and then stopped for absolutely no reason.... its taken me a month to get back down to the weight level I was at last time I quit calorie counting. This time is working much better, actually, I think I figured out the key is to not try to overlose.... 1.5lb a week setting in MFP + exercise is the way to go.
