Where I work we have some stairs that are 72 steps. Less that a year ago, just one trip up those stairs and i would be so out of breath I could barely talk. Last week we had to do some emergency work in the area that the steps lead to because of some flooding. Through the night I made anywhere from 40 to 50 trips up those steps, sometimes 4-5 trips back to back usually carrying some heavy tool or piece of equipment. Yes, I got winded but never to the point of not being able to carry on a conversation. I've only lost about 20 lbs over the last 3 months but I've tried to get some exercise every day. It's hard to notice changes from day to day but when you are able to compare benchmarks over the course of several weeks, the changes are obvious.
Oh, and one more---I had to buy a new belt.
