Need some Advice

So I've been working at getting my weight under control for about a year now. I have off and on done a little Insanity, but because of my busy schedule flaked out and would stop. As such, I've been decently losing weight, but 1) I'd like to lose weight (especially fat) at a faster rate, and 2) worry that even when I achieve my weight loss goals I will not have the definition that I want because I'll have only lost weight without having gone through any type of workout program.
So here's what I want to do. Like I said, I'd really like to commit myself and jump start this workout thing. I plan on starting Insanity on Monday, 5/9/11. I would also like to combine that and do C25K at the same time. I think that C25K is a relatively lower intensity program, and obviously Insanity is well....insane! Would combining these two programs create any problems? If yes, what should I be concerned about? Also, what kind of foods should I look at increasing in my diet? Should I start using why protein or anything like that?
Thanks a bunch for any advice you could give, it's greatly appreciated!

Cardio to lose fat, strength training for definition, combination of the two is best. I usually alternate cardio/strength training days. Regardless, you will need to commit to this at least 5 days a week, so the main thing is, make sure you like what you are doing. Consistency is key! As far as Whey powder, drinking this after your strength training workouts will help your body recover faster.0
