hi! i'm new to the site. i've been logging my food/exercise for the past 2 weeks or so.
on the fitness pal i have a 1,200 calorie net regimen. i tend to eat less and not exercise vigorously at all.
my real vice is alcohol. keeping myself accountable with the calories consumed daily helps me to skip those empty calories, or allow for them if there is no way around it. don't get me wrong, i don't starve and then drink 10 beers. i just might skip a snack and have 2 beers later instead. really, though, i've kept the drinking and eating splurges for friday and saturday. it helps to keep me motivated and rested during the week by abstaining from those kinds of indulgences.
so, i'm 5'3" and i currently weigh (at least as of last thursday) 150lbs.
that is A LOT for my height. my comfortable weight is 130lbs, so i have a good chunk to lose. i'm about to turn 28 and i can tell that my metabolism is suffering due to age and the inactivity of this sweet desk job. lol.
i wish i could take you all home with me and make me exercise. i really just need to get in a good swing of pushing hard for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week. why is that so hard? 30 minutes is no time at all.
i think this forum might be helping already.
thanks for listening, if anyone is reading this.
and keep in mind, i am also an excellent listener.
take care! and keep it up!
