I love this diet!

Lost another pound this week. Some sadistic person put out a bowl of peanut M&Ms at work today, and I have eaten 8 of them (15 cals each). Time was, I would either (1) avoid them completely or (2) eat three handfuls.
I love bread. I love cake, and cookies, and an occasional scoop of ice cream. I feel fruit is an essential food. I hated how I had to go cold turkey on all of these items when I was low carbing it.
Now I eat reasonably, fillingly, and nutritiously, and I think about the impact of everything that goes down my gullet. And this diet is actually working, and working pretty well! Thanks to myfitnesspal.com and this wonderful community for all your help.

Isn't eating better great? And a few paenut M&Ms won't harm you.
I am a bread/chips/pasta person but really limit myself now.0 -
Terrific job limiting your M&M intake and really thinking it through.
That is 90% of the battle in my opinion.
I am like you and changing the way I see it, think about it, and weigh out the consequences of the foods that tempt me.
My Tae Bo workouts STILL kick my butt and I work to hard to sabotage myself.
I have taken a lot of the terrific tips and ideas and things that MFPers have shared on these boards and put them to good use ( eating before going out to some party where there will be tempting foods, drinking LOTS of water, frequent smaller meals throughout the day, handful of nuts & a bottle of water before sitting down to a big meal or grocery shopping...etc...).
I am loving the changes and I still love MFP.
Keep up the great work - you are going to make your goal and so am I !!!:flowerforyou:0 -
There are tons of great ideas on this board! The traffic here is tremendous--which is not only good for us users, it's great for the management since more ads = more revenue = they'll stay in business.
I love working out. I own an elliptical (technically, 2) and it's so convenient to jump on it for 20 minutes in the morning before work, or for an hour after work, or for mega-minutes on weekends.
For a while, I was bummed about the need to eat back all those work-out calories, but now I'm allowing myself to eat more in the way of baguettes and mixed nuts and PB sandwiches, high calorie but nutritious (well, maybe not so much the baguettes but they're yummy at least), and the calories are balancing out. And I'm losing weight, so I must be doing something right.0
