I am training for a half marathon, so I'm pretty serious about my running, and I just love my Sauconys. You have to know what kind of shoe you need, though, whether you have a neutral stride or if you over/under pronate.. It makes a world of difference getting the right shoe, you have to research a little.0

Easytones or any of the shape-up shoes are not really designed for running. You'd be too unstable and risk an ankle injury.
Your best bet is to go to a specialty running store and get fitted there. They will watch you run and possibly capture a short film of it in order to determine your stride and degree of pronation or supination (how much your foot rolls in or out on landing) and properly measure you. Then they'll recommend the 'type' of shoes you need and from there you'll try on several brands in order to determine the best fit. Don't be surprised if your running shoe size is a half or whole size larger than your street shoes. You need the room for your feet to swell a little and to keep your toes from hitting the end of the shoe when running on hills or inclines. You should have one full thumbwidth between your longest toe (which may not be your big toe) and the end of the toebox. If your shoes fit properly. you won't get black toenails or lose any even if you become a distance runner.
I happen to wear Asics GT 2060s, which are for mild to moderate overpronators. All the major running brands will have this sort of shoe, and Asics just fit me the best. You may prefer a different brand though.0 -

This was one of the best pieces of advice I was given, and I am so thankful for it!0 -

You can post links to products that have worked well for you as long as you have no affiliation with the company and are not a salesperson for their products.0 -
