Calories earned by exercising...

Hi
I just wanted to check people's views.
I started using my fitness pal in January and when I did, I made a point of exercising at least 5 times a week for 1/2 hour. I used to be quite strict with myself and I didn't always use the extra calories I earned exercising eating or drinking. But I was never more than 250 calories under my daily goal. I was losing weight steadily and well. After a bad, bad period, I'm getting back into it. I now cycle for an hour 5 days a week, but having started a new, quite stressful job, I find myself eating (or drinking!) the calories I earned exercising and don't have that many if any spare now. And I don't lose weight anymore.....

So I was just wondering how it works for you. Do you use the calories you earned exercising? If so does it have an impact on your weight loss? If not, same question?

Any views?
Thanks!

Before you get discouraged and give up, try raising your daily calorie goal. You are now exercising more than you were so you may lose better by raising your goal a couple hundred calories a day and eating all your exercise calories. Or try Zig Zagging/Calorie Cycling (Search these topics above)...Good luck!
