Okay, I'm trying to push myself and I'm telling you where I started.
Last December i weighed myself and saw I was a whopping 260 pds. I was really disappointed in myself but on January 1st I began to make some major changes -- one I joined the online Walking Club of Leslie Sansone (she does the walking videos). Second, I joined Weight Watchers online. it was a slow start. i didn't use my Walking club videos for three months but i did eat healthier and began to shift away from my emotional eating (potato chips, lots of sweets and fast food joints), Within 3 months of joining WW I had lost over 15 pds. It took a while but I did well -- then I recently started up again by joining Lucille Roberts about one month ago. When I attended my orientation, the trainer told me if I wanted to crush the pounds I should focus on Cardio, which is what I've been doing for about 3 weeks now and I see results --- Im back in size 16 shirts and almost a 16 (this is down from a size 24). I'll try to post pics next time.
Anyway, i wanted to know if anyone has used either the Body Gospel Series, Intensity or Turbo Jam. I'm looking to increase my cardio tremendously but still want to use my online walking videos and regular walks.
By the way I do use resistance bands but I need to find better videos.
Please share any feedback on the vidoes I'm looking to purchase and please continue to work it out! If you want to add me as a friend, please send a request. We're all in this together.
Have a healthy day!

INSANITY, Turbo Jam and Body Gospel are all workouts from Beachbody. I have used Beachbody products (ChaLEAN Extreme, Turbo Fire, P90X, Shakeology) for over a year now. They are extremely well researched, well presented and most importantly extremely effective. I'd be glad to chat with you to figure out which program is right for you. Just message me.0

I have done Turbo Fire to the end and I am doing Body Gospel now. Turbo Fire is 90 days and is super intense but it works to shape your body as well as burn that fat off. Body Gospel is a much slower pace and not intense and pretty much anyone can do it. That program is only 30 days. So I am doing Body Gospel for a month or so then will go back to Turbo Fire for another 30 days.0

Hi,
These are all great workouts. I have a sheet I can send you if you like. It'll give you a great breakdown of all the workouts and you can see the differences.0 -
When I worked with a personal trainer, she told me that the best way to boost metabolism (and thus burn more calories, even at rest) is to increase muscle. Do cardio at least 3 days a week, but resistance at least twice (you can do both on a day).
I love the old tae-bo videos. They work both cardio and muscle. I haven't tried the new ones, but I hear they are pretty good.
Another good option is circuit training. It mixes both cardio and resistance for an awesome workout. Ask your trainer, or check out Curves.
Zumba is another great way to get your heart pumping.
You can get a lot of exercise videos on Netflix or at your local library. Think of it as a way to try them out for free. Then if you love one, you can buy it. But don't forget to change things up about once a month!0 -
I loved the Body Gospel workouts. I'm doing Jillian Michaels vidoes and Biggest Loser Last Chance, Boot Camp. Do whatever will motivate and challenge you. I liked the Body Gospel because of the gospel music. Great beat, makes you want to move. Great workouts if you are just starting they can prepare you for the more intense workouts out there. Chalene Turbo Jam I hear is really intense. My sister in law loves it. Helped her lose 80 pounds. The point is to find something you love to do and mix it up every once in a while.0

Turbo Jam Chalene Johnson 45–60 minutes Advanced total-body training program focused on abs, legs, chest, back, and arms. Twelve routines that keep introducing new moves and challenging your muscles to get you absolutely ripped in 90 days.
Insanity Shaun T 30–60 minutes Transform your body in 60 days with the most intense workout program ever put on DVD. MAX Interval Training—you perform long bursts of maximum-intensity exercise with short periods of rest
Body Gospel is a slower passed workout done to gospel music
Charlean Extreme
Chalene Johnson 30–45 minutes Advanced circuit training program develops lean, sexy muscle to help you burn up to 60% of your body fat for overall body transformation. The proven 3-phase circuit training technique is guaranteed to give you results every 30 days—the more muscle you build,
I’d suggest TurboJam or even ChaLean Extreme first then Insanity

I used to do Taebo back in the day, loved some Billy Blanks. Another thing I really am doing is mixing things.
Some days I do:
leslie sanson walking videos
resistance training with my cords/bands
yoga or pilates
cardio
Im doing cardio 3-4 times a week
I'm walking at least 30mins a day.
I truly appreciate everyone's comments.0 -
I LOVE Turbo Jam.... I've been doing it for 6-8 weeks and have lost approx. 20 inches in total...!
It's a good workout... I'm trying to work my way up to being able to do Turbo Fire.0 -

If you liked Billy Blanks you may really like Turbo Jam. Turbo Fire would be the next step up from Turbo Jam. Insanity is very intense.0
