Got out of Boot Camp in 1972. My sister set me up with her friend, Kelly. I realize now that my sister's intention was to "get her brother laid" after 15 weeks of abstinence. I was 18. Anyways, it was "Me and Mr's Jones" by Billy Paul. Very popular in 1972. She left the tone arm up on her record player. That meant when the song got to the end, it started over. I was too busy with Kelly to change the 45. It played all night and into the dawn.
I never saw Kelly again. I still can't stand Me and Mrs. Jones, but it does bring back some crazy memories.0 -
