FRUSTRATED IN CALI!

So this morning I got on the scale and it said I gained 2 pounds... And I'm being really good. I've been staying within my calories, and exercising daily. Then I get up this morning to step on the scale and gain 2 pounds? I could deal with staying the same. What happened in my sleep? Did I dream about a piece of cake and gain? :( Trying not to be discouraged.....

So I surely have to try something different, a couple of the things to jump start are:

1. NO MORE DIET COKE ( or any soda of any type)
2. Change my exercise ( I'm looking to walk the mountain, and start running. I really need a run/walk partner if anyone is interested) I want to do a couple 5K's then onto a 10K, and by next year my goal is to do the LA Marathon.

My Run Goal starts today!

Happy Thursday all!

Have you been eating a lot of foods that are high in sodium? If so, it is most likely water weight. There's no way you can gain 2 pounds of fat in one night. It takes like 3500 calories to equal a pound of fat. So, unless you ate 7000 calories of food before you went to bed, it's just water weight. Drink a lot of water and everything should equal out in a week or so.

I cant say I have the answer as to why but I too recently went through this, I stayed the same and or gained up and down a few lbs for 5 weeks even with eating right, exercising, drinking my water, was about the throw in the towel, even ate some junk food to soothe the pain and realized whoa no no, I had been good 35 days and then was about to ruin it with a self pity party. Then some guy told me that for women it takes over 30 days for their body to adjust to the changes and make the inches or lbs on the scale move , Unlike men who in most cases can get instant gratification, no comment on that as its an entire other rant lol. But most women toss in the towel like I almost just did right as they would potentially start to see some results. All I can say is give it time. You will see results if you stick with it. It isnt humanly possible for it to work for every single other person on the planet who are also counting calories, exercising, drinking water, and making healthy life style changes and for you or I to not eventually see the same results too. You just keep staying on task keep to your plan and it will feel good mentally and physically and eventual it will show on the scale too. I was never good with having patience guess this will teach me lol.
