I'm on day 4 and doing okay but not real happy today. I believe I am detoxing from junk food! Is this possible? Should it have this type of effect? I'm kinda depressed and have a headache and feel like a whiner LOL I have good food with me at work but I want a cheeseburger LMAO I won't eat it today basically because we are having a huge BBQ on Saturday so I know I will want to eat then and will have that as my "free" meal. Although, I am planning ahead and going to the gym Saturday morning before to work in some extra calories.

Here are somethings I have realized......I used to live/eat a fairly healthy lifestyle; I suppose this changed over time and I hadn't realized what was really going on until I started MFP and took a look at what was really going on. I eat ALOT more red meat now then I ever did before. I CRAVE junk food! It's crazy!!!! One happy meal isn't enough, and 1,000 to many. I really struggle with moderation. OHH and I bought a food scale the other night; I haven't used one in years since learning portion control about 6 years ago. Now, using that again....NO WONDER I'VE GAINED SO MUCH! What I have been eating compared to what my portions should look like. I was like "DAMN IT" and I wonder how this happened.

Ok that's my rant and where I am at today. I actually feel a little better getting it out. The desire for a cheeseburger has left for now YAY

i know I felt like crap the first few days. Now I refer to that period as my "Food Detox." I don't know if it's scientifically proven, but I know I've seen a lot of people on here comment about the same thing. You'll get through it and I promise, eat right, exercise, and you will feel incredible. Good luck!!!

Same here. For the first couple of weeks I had constant headaches, felt really down and bloated... Now I have loads more energy and I'm starting to see results!
    Hang in there! :)

It's been about six weeks for me now and I still have cravings...I love to eat and some things I will always want to eat..The key is eat in moderation and have days just for a treat...but get right back on your journey...Learning a whole new type of self control is key also...Good Luck!!!

Sugar withdrawls do that to me. If you've cut down considerably on sugar, it can be managed by eating an orange or taking an Emergen-C. Not sure about any other types of headaches, though.

It's funny how all those bad habits sneak in on us. Hang in there!

Drink LOTS of water. Not additives or soda. And a cheeseburger doesn't have to be a bad thing, especially one made at home. Good luck!!
