Hello,

I am fairly new to my fitness pal and figured after trying it out and liking it that I would go through the introduction process.

I am looking for something that will help me keep track of what I eat because its amazing to me how much things I would eat (even though healthy) would add up to almost 5000 calories a day if not more.

I started this a few weeks ago and I am happy with the results so far. I have used livestrong before and liked that, though I figured I would give this one a try now.

I keep seeming to lose a bunch of weight then pretty much not sticking with it unfortunately so I gain and lose the same 60 pounds over and over again which sucks. I can't digest a lot of fats due to biliary complications after having my gal bladder removed which you think would be great, but again its not what I am eating so much as the quantity.

I have 2 children of mine from a previous marriage (5 year old son and a 2 and a half year old girl). My girlfriend and her 6 year old daughter live with me and offer incredible support which I am thankful for so I am looking to stick around for a while, not be so stagnant and enjoy the life I have been handed.

Mike

Welcome! I've done the Daily Plate one but I prefer MFP, its more user friendly. I make sure to log in everyday on this one!

I've had my gallbladder removed also, it was hard for the first few years and felt like everytime I would eat out somewhere I would get sick from too much fat content/oils they used to cook with. But I started eating a lot healthier and even tried out the vegetarian thing for a while and it was a miracle...no more issues.

Good luck with your journey! Friend me for support if you would like. :)
