I just blew my healthy eating with one burrito from Moe's and now I am so misearable. I had no idea that it had 855 calories. I am putting myself on a lettuce and water diet for the next two weeks. It was soooooooo not worth it.

A lettuce and water diet isn't worth it either.

How many calories were you hoping it was? Let's say you thought it was 400. Now you only ate 455 extra calories. If you are set to lose 1 pound a week, MFP puts you at a 500 calorie defecit. Now those extra 455 calories put you at a 45 calorie defecit. Not great, but you are still eating less than your maintainence and won't gain! If you insist on trying to make up for it, cut an extra 100 calories over the next 4 days and you'll be back on track. Personally, I would just call it a lesson learned, eat well for the rest of the day, and move on! Don't hop on the scale tomorrow. You might be tempted so you then have "proof" that the burrito was a bad idea. If the number HAPPENED to go up, it is from sodium or body fluctuations only. You cannot actually gain a pound of weight (3,500 calories) from eating an 855 calorie burrito.

I hope you at least enjoyed it while you were eating it. Now please stop being so hard on yourself and enjoy the rest of your day!

that's not healthy... lettuce and water diet for 2 weeks?

Just understand that sometimes crap happens and move on.

I had a KIDS portion of fried rice and orange chicken from panda a couple days ago for 660 calories... but I drank my water and since then i've actually lost about a lb.

Just pick back up where you left off before Moe's and get moving.

Aw don't be so hard on yourself and certainly do not torture your body with 2 weeks of lettuce and water!!

Just call it a treat and move on ~ that sure did sound tasty, I hope you enjoyed it!

Drastically cutting back your calories would be totally counterproductive; ignore it, and carry on trying to eat more healthily.

You made a mistake, learn from it - if you think you might be eating somewhere like that, check out calories in advance.

Ok, first thing...before you go to a chain like that check on MFP and see the calories. It helps a ton to pre-check what the options are. Believe me, I just had to do it with a lunch from Panera Bread. Use the free tools that are on here.

And scratch that lettuce comment from your memory. That type of thinking is doing major harm. Don't think like that, just log it, move on, and learn from the experience.

Call it a spike day to keep your metabolism on its toes, and then go back to your healthy eating that you were on before (No to the lettuce and water! No!)

What's done is done, know you know better next time. Do an extra hour of cardio today and get back to your healthy eating. We all make mistakes. I have at least once a week wehre I look back and think "darn I wish I would not have eaten that"

    Good luck
