I don't really think P90x is for weight loss exactly. You'll probably have to go more by measurements when doing that program.0

There are times in this program you won't lose a bunch of weight because you're probably gaining muscle. You may even gain weight as you hold on to a little of the fat and put muscle on top of it (or underneath it)!. Also make sure that you're getting all the calories you need and that you're eating super clean. Nutrition is usually the biggest factor in weight loss, even when you're doing something extreme like P90X. Follow the meal plan to the tee if you possibly can...it makes a huge difference. The trick with these programs is that they're designed to work throughout the whole program, and we're so wanting to see big changes right away. Stick with it. Trust the program. Do it as it's written. It works. Keep pushing play!!0

I'm just starting phase 2 of lean. P90X is NOT a weight loss system. You're far more likely to lose inches than you are to lose weight - but that's not a BAD thing. In my first 30 days I only lost 4 pounds, but I also lost a total of 4 inches as well. The system is about getting in shape and being healthy, not losing weight. You're much more likely to see your results in measurements than in weight with P90X.0

I am currently two days away from starting week 11 on P90X. I am doing the classic version since this was the first time that I had done the program. I started at 202.0 and at day 30 I was 198. At day 60 I was 196, and I am currently at 194. I have stayed very protein heavy the whole time to try and lose body fat. I have really lost a lot of inches so that is a better testament on true body transformation. I also get fixated on the scale, but have to keep reminding myself that I really don't care what I weight as long as I change my body and lose fat.
I am thinking about doing the doubles next.0 -

I think that p90x is a well rounded program. The nutritional guide is great to go by because it teaches you how to eat as far as portion sizes and where the bulk of your foods should come from. You may be gaining muscle along with losing fat. Muscle weighs more than fat, but the benefits of gaining muscle are tremendous. You'll burn more calories on a daily basis just because muscle uses more calories than fat, and it also makes your body more shapely. Make sure you're logging the foods you eat.....also on the nutrtional guide for p90x it states that after a few weeks on the program, you may need to boost your calorie intake by 200 to 300 calories because you're building muscle. Hope this helps.0

Thanks for all the replies! I think I might add a little bit more calories than I have been eating because i am pretty active the rest ot the day and have been really hungery the last 3-4 days even though what I have been eating is similar to what I was doing before.0

Shena-- did you take your measurements before hand? If I remember correctly, you did. Have you re-measured? I bet you'll like what you see!!
Sometimes you can really lose inches, and even go down in sizes-- and the scale hasn't even moved much. Keep up the hard work!0 -
