so i've read a couple of posts and i think i confused myself. So im a highly active person. I work out 5-6times a week 2+ hour sessions. When i first started mfp my reccommended calories was 1420 but after a while i felt like i was starving! so i uped it to 1520 which seems good for me. Plus sometimes i eat my exercise cals back and on a bad day i can reach like 1700-2000 calories. (K, stay with me here guys cause somewhere along here im bound to confuse you too.) In a recent post i read that when your metabolism increases you should decrease your calorie consumption (!!!!) as i said i increased mine (this was a few months ago but its working for me) So i guess my question is...is this correct? When your metabolism speeds up should you really consume less cals?!
did i confuse you guys too

It's backwards.
When your metabolism speeds up you need MORE calories, not less.0 -
No, you didn't confuse me, but you may have taken that the wrong way or they may have written it the wrong way or they may be full of it.
As you work out more, you get to eat more (fuel). As you lose weight, your BASE calories will decrease (the # of cals allowed before exercise). If you weigh 250 you will be given a larger allowable deficit, as you become 170, you can't have such a large deficit safely.
Two different things.
