Ok, so I didn't actually make the sauce, but I just started using whole foods brand sauces and they are sooo good! Really low in fat and calories too :) Anybody have suggestions for other good sauces?

    1 small can tomato paste
    1/4 cup EVOO
FRESH rosemary, cilantro, thyme, garlic, oregano, basil

mix all in sauce pan and let simmer for as long as possible. Enjoy!

I like to go all out with my spaghetti sauce. Here's my standard recipe. I use a crock pot because it's easy, but it can be made in a large pot too. It makes a lot, so you can freeze and reheat it.

3 cans crushed tomatoes (low sodium if possible)
1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
    2 large green peppers, diced
    Mushrooms, sliced
    1 pkg frozen chopped spinach
5-6 jalapenos, diced (or if you don't like spicy food you can omit them)
    2 medium onions, diced
    Fresh garlic to taste
    Italian herb mix to taste
    Black pepper to taste

Toss it all in and cook it for as long as you can as low as you can. It turns out pretty fantastic!

Another pasta sauce I like to make is to just toss diced tomatoes in a pan with capers, mushrooms, baby spinach, peppers and zucchini and saute them lightly in olive oil and white wine. Yum!
