Stretch Marks! PHEW!!!

Soooooooo, this summer, I'm going to go from a bathing suit that has a skirt that covers my KNEES :noway: to a tankini! :drinker: I'm sooooooo excited... BUT I have stretch marks on my shoulders (and on my sides, but the bathing suit covers it) and was wondering what to do about them. I saw some articles about how waterproof spray tanning would cover them, but I don't want to get darker than what I already am, so is it possible to just get a spray tan the SAME tone of my skin? If not, I saw some thin, see-through, poncho-looking things that looked like they'd cover me up and still allow you to see my body and bathing suit, just not the fine details of my skin... but can I swim with that? lol I think water droplets kind of make stretch marks less visible, so that might help too. haha I don't know. I just don't want to look like a tiger.

i would love to know if anyone has had REAL success with any of those stretch mark "miracle" things that are suppose to get rid of them because just like u i too have them on my shoulders and it makes me so self conscious about wearing short sleeves and stuff...would love to see them gone once all this weight is gone too!0

Congrats on your new tankini! I know it's easy to say from the other side(I have a ton on my stomach), but don't worry about the stretch marks. You'll have way more, fun just being you and not worrying about covering them. Who knows maybe the sun will help them fade away0

back in 06 when I started my FIRST serious round of weight loss, and lost 120 lbs [over two years] I started using the ten dollar tube of stretch cream that Avon sells. EVERY single day, every season, faithfully..... it's taken some years, but almost all of them have totally faded away.... it took about two years..... and now it's been four years of every day application and there is almost nothing visible.... meanwhile continue to drink water, and pop a multi and some extra C for the collagen production of your skin to aid from the inside.... these things will help..... but not overnight.....0
