My weight is up and I am taking responsibility for it. There is so much going on these days, but I am trying to get it together and pick myself up again.0

Didn't post on the board last week or until now - crazy busy with prepping the yards for and laying sod last week, and this week was working on the dinner requests, seating assignments, reservations for 240 people for the high school fund raiser. Late nights (1am) working on the data bases. Glad it's over. Now Youth Orchestra concerts, High School Graduation, and Youth Orchestra 60th Anniv celebration committee work! May is just an insane month for me. Looking foward to an Alaskan cruise at the end of June for some serious R&R!!! Would really like to be down another 10 - 18 (a total of 28 - 35 pounds) by then because then it should be noticeable to family who hasn't seen me since the holidays0

I may be starting to panic a little. The last two weeks have been very ho-hum. I haven't had a good hard workout in what feels like ages. I go to the gym or run outside and go through the motions but my energy feels totally shot. I haven't been able to add any distance to my runs... in fact I can barely seem to get 3 miles out, which is NOT GOOD because I have my first 5k in under 3 weeks. I have been eating ok but not great. I love what I've accomplished but I definitely feel like I've hit a wall. I'm becoming concerned about my motivation when S2S is over... I don't really care much that I gained a pound from last week, but I defintely don't want to see another gain of any kind this week either. A kick in the *kitten* is what I really need!! UUUGGGHHH!!
I feel your pain. I have hit the wall also. I am trying to do some new things, changing what class I go to at the Y and adding gardening and stuff to my days in the hopes it knocks me out of my doldrums and out of this cursed plateau! Maybe you could try changing things up, or you could do what the running gurus say to do, and push harder when you feel you can't go any farther or any faster and make yourself do it. They say that is when you make progress and when you get to that runner's high. I wouldn't know, since I hate running (because I don't have the stamina for it) so I've never even gotten close to a runner's high, but those who do run are adamant that the way to break thru is to push yourself beyond what you think you can bear.
Good luck.0 -
Hi everyone...How has Monday been?0
-
Hope everyone had a great day! I was slipping near the end, and I haven't logged it all yet, but I know I went over... Sugary stuff again... I've been getting one good day, and then I'll have one or 2 really terrible days, and then a couple good ones, and then back to the bad stuff...
I was looking back at my progress last April-ish, and I consistently had 7+ weeks of small losses in a row! It was amazing. I don't even remember that happening, but it's all written down.
On a happy note, I bought a copy of Tosca Reno's Clean Eating for 50 cents!! I am so stoked! I always had to send it back to the library before I could read the whole thing, and now I have it for good, and can try out all the recipes!!
How's your Monday been leandread? Everyone?0 -
I had a very good day overall. I started my day with an apple and a 3 mile walk. I ate much more cleaner than I have in a while. No diet soda. 8 cups of water and 2 cups of tea. I didn't eat really late tonight. I completed my 30/30/30. and I plan to go to bed at a reasonable time.0

I have been MIA with the move its been a bit CRAZY! We are all moved in for the most part and ... Michael proposed to me I am back at it now especially since we want to get married in August 2012. Lots of weight to drop. I feel great that I am settled in my new house. I lived back and forth between my moms and Mikes and I am so happy I dont have to pack my bags every week now!
New start for me today. Got my lunch packed, cooking a healthy dinner, and hoping to take a nice walk with Mike after work.
Life is good right now!! I am so excited I can focus more on my weight loss!0 -

How's your Monday been leandread? Everyone?
That is awesome! 50 cents is a steal! I think reading the whole thing will really help you, because it opened my eyes a lot and I sometimes think back to the book when I feel like eating crap stuff, and just think about all the benefits of eating clean. So you can do it girl...you and me are in the same boat, I have to rock it out this last few weeks of the challenge. I want to at least hit 20lbs, yikes! How do I create a challenge and not meet the goal myself lol? It's ok though, I will see ONEderland soon enough. We can do this girl!0 -

I tell people all the time...you have come to far to stop now! You got this and rest assure there will be another challenge! I am just kind of in the final stages of figuring out exactly how to go about it. I know there are some of us that can still use the accountability. You got this girl! Finish strong!0 -
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's!
Well.... where to start? I was hoping to say good-bye to the 200's... next week I hope! I have done a lot of thinking this week... where am I going? What's it all about? I have played around with changing my weight loss goal from 1lb a week to 1.5 but then freak out when I realize how few calories I will get to eat. Right now I am aiming for 1700 cals daily. When I set it at 1.5 lb a week it falls down to 1400, and then I freak. I admire those of you that are able to eat the 1200 cals and lose weight. So it will take me longer to lose the unwanted weight. I guess I am okay with that, but I have to remember that this is a journey and a lifestyle change, not a destination and I am never going back to where I was. NEVER!!!
Exercise is going well. I am walking for an hour at least 3 days a week and am doing P90X daily. I am enjoying it and feeling like I am getting stronger. The scale isn't moving that much for me, I am hoping it will pick up again soon. Day at a time I keep reminding myself. I went out and bought myself a new scale that includes body fat %. Does anyone know if it is reliable. Right now it says that I am 42% fat!!!! How in the world do I get that down? I have been trying to figure out a healthy goal weight, one that is manageable and it seems like I have a long way to go still... I was hoping that doing the P90X would increase my lean body mass and therefore lose body fat. No dice yet.
And so we keep trucking....
Congratulations to us all to continuing on this path. This is usually where I lose steam, close to the end. But I am forcing myself to complete this challenge, and continue with the next. I know that I am stronger with you ladies by my side than if I was plodding along on my own. Thank you. I wouldn't have made it this far with out your support and knowing we are all in this together.
Christina
You have done such an amazing job! I love seeing your transformation mentally, from the beginning to the middle to now the end of this challenge. You will be in ONEderland soon and how wonderful is that going to be? I am so proud of you Christina!0 -
Hello everyone! Yes, guilty here as well. I have not been commenting as much as I usually do. I've been having a lot going on and have just been focusing on those. I'm still flip flopping on my way of eating. Sometimes I let stress get the best of me and just give in to what I know I should not be eating. I will never give up though!
So just to share a little, I will let you all know some things I have been having to deal with.I've really let my exercise go lately because of all of this.
My son has pretty much been diagnosed with Autism and I have been pouring everything I have into him. The many doctors visits, reading everything I can get my hands on, and just the task of handling him is exhausting.
Also just recently I've been having some issues as well. Two years ago I had to have an ovary removed due to a dermoid tumor that consumed it. So when I started having issues on the other side, I was fearful I was having the same issue. I had an ultrasound a couple of days ago and the doctor called me yesterday to talk about it. It isn't a dermoid, but my ovary is polycystic and swollen quite a bit and that is what is causing me some pain. She wants to put me on birth control to try to shrink the ovary and if it doesn't, she wants to complete a hysterectomy. I'm freaking out because I'm trying so hard to lose weight and everything I've read says birth control can cause you to gain weight. I'm also freaking out at the possibility of being put into premature menopause.
So those are just a few of the big things I am dealing with at the moment that is hindering my efforts at losing weight. I will try to make sure I am posting more.
Congrats on everyone who is doing so well!!
It is ok girl...I know that you are going through a lot right now. Don't ever feel bad about taking care of your family first. Things will work out the way that they need to and we will be praying for you. Just ask God for a sound mind and direction. You are so strong girl...you can conquer anything and your son will be ok. I have 100% faith in you and him! What an awesome mother you are!0 -
I told myself that this week I would be more vocal on the boards this week. I won't be able to give the individual attention that I usually give on the newsfeeds and posts, but I would like to at least read what everyone is doing for added support.
I can't believe that we are coming to the end of the challenge in the next few weeks. I have really met some really great people as a result of this challenge.
My eating is much better, I am more aware of my sodium than ever before. I know its not all about the calorie itself, but the quantity of the calorie. I love to workout, that has never been a problem for me. I have the time to do it and I have to do is put in the effort. Eating on the other hand has always been the problem. Since I do have so much free time, it gives me more time to eat. I am trying to fill my days with other activities to help me take my mind off food.
I also try to get in the bed earlier. Which means dinner is earlier. And since I'm not staying up late, there's no late night snacking.
The weather is nicer now and instead of wanting to get back in the bed and curl up in a ball like during the winter months, I go for a walk after taking my daughter to the bus stop. Usually 2 to 3 miles. Wednesday is the only week day that I don't do it because I go to zumba early that morning.
I hope all of those things combined and changing up my routine can help me start to see a loss again. I would love more than anything to say good riddens to the 170s before the end of this challenge.0 -

Just wanted to check in mid-week with the sunshine girls! Everyone is doing very well.
I decided to change my work out schedule and changed from P90X Lean to the classic version because I want to see more inches coming off. And I get a lot of cardio in daily with walking at least 3 days a week. And since it is exactly 90 days until my summer holidays... 2 weeks on a beach! And I want to feel good in a bathing suit. I really pushed myself on Monday when I committed myself to the classic version and am feeling it in my muscles two days later.... I hope it abates soon.
I can't believe that there are only a couple weeks left in this challenge. Thanks again Krys for starting this challenge. I know I would not be where I am today without our weekly check -ins. Let's really push it for the next couple weeks!0 -
I have a question for those of you who made it to the 40lb goal or is pretty close, what is the best advice you can give to us?0

Great work girl!0 -
I'd just like to say that as a group we are only ~150 lbs away from losing 1,000 POUNDS!!! So we need to pull together and each shoot for losing 3lbs in the last 4 weeks! If we all work together, we can meet this huge goal and say that through 22 weeks of working hard we lost 7 ENTIRE PEOPLE!!
WOOHOO! That is crazy but totally Awesome!0 -

WOOHOO! I got 15 in today! And I finished it early enough so I will not be getting up in the wee hours.0 -
My house has been a little quiet this week. My daughter has been away at Nature's Classroom with her school. It is very weird only having one kid at home. She will be home tomorrow I have to pick her up at school at 130. But off to the gym as soon as I get the boy on the bus in the AM. Not much money for food again this week. I need to also get my vegetable garden in but not sure if I will have the extra money for that this year. I hope so because I want to try making my own spaghetti sauce this year. Do any of you plant a veggie garden? Do you can any of it? I can my green beans and beets. I also make homemade jam. Well tomorrow is weigh in. I hope everyone sees the number they are looking for! Night!!!0
