'Feeling' Lighter But Not Losing The Pounds On The Scale

Sometimes it's so frustrating! I feel lighter, and more active and have even noticed my trousers fit a teeeeeeeeeeny bit better. BUT the numbers on the scales don't change. I know it's silly to moan but it would definitely give me a psychological boost if the scales moved just a little bit :(

A friend of mine is getting married in July and I wanna look my best, however I just sometimes see the motivation slipping

you're likely building muscle - which is a GREAT thing!

You could be building muscle and losing inches is why the numbers are not going down. You need to take your measurements and keep track of that too.

I feel your pain........I know to expect it, but it still sucks!! I am building muscle as I have increased my strength training.

I cant practice what I preach but if you can stick to doing measurements for a few weeks instead of going on scales it might help keep you on track seeing you are getting smaller by the measuring tape............As I said I cant practise what I preach as I am a Scales Addict. I weigh myself every morning before my shower...........without fail, every day of my life for the past 10 or so years

I would stay off the scale and keep doing what you're doing......the pants fitting better is fantastic so you're doing something right!! Keep up the good work!!! I go day to day at the gym and my weight fluctuates from the weight training, sometimes a difference of 5 lbs from one day to the next so I stay off the scale, only go on once a week and that's it. Good luck on your journey:flowerforyou:

I feel your frustration, I am not seeing the scale move either and can't even say I see my clothes fit much differently but keep going at least we are focusing on a healthy habit like eating right and exercise and eventually the results will show.

I have had people tell me I am looking fitter....I don't know what that means and maybe they are just being nice but I do notice I can do more at the gym then before so that is a plus I guess.

One woman told me yesterday that my friend and I are hardcore since we go from cardio machine to machine. We should have accepted the complement instead we brushed it off and said we just sweat a lot.

My point is if anyone says "Hey you are looking good lately what are you up to?" just glow and say wow thanks. I am sure if pants are feeling better on you IT IS WORKING FOR YOU!!!!!

so Yahoo you! WAY TO GO!!!

yep measure. the scale knows weight loss...but doesn't know the difference between fat loss & muscle loss. you are losing inches so you are definitely shedding fat.
