Insanity????

My husband got the Insanity DVD's for us and we (or should I say I) used them last night. I did the fit test and WOW!! Really that is all I can say. I got through the whole thing and did pretty good for being overweight and out of shape. I have been doing the Ripped in 30 and 30 Day Shred so I am sure that helped a little but holy cow. We are doing the plyometric cardio training (I think that is what it is called) tonight and I am scared. So anyone who has started out like me (overweight and out of shape) and is a month or so in can you please give me some motivation to stick with these. Because honestly they scare the heck out of me.

    Thats my second week, and its hard. And plyo cardio is the hardest for me. Also doing that tonight. :noway:

    It's Insanity. LITERALLY! I recommend a HRM when doing it though. Shaun T always wants you monitoring your heart rate to make sure you are safe. It is definitely one great workout.

    Here's a great thread for Insanity! Everyone is super supportive and in various stages of the program. I have one more workout and a fit test left and I'm done! :drinker:

    The first four days are hard and you will be sore but on that fifth day, you will start to feel better and stronger. Don't give up! Even if you have to take a million breaks to get through it, you will get stronger.

    I weigh 243 and this is my last week in month 1. You can do it, it's going to be really difficult but just stick with it. For me during the first week I could barely walk, sit, breathe lol but by the second week that was all gone. The great thing that I find about Insanity is that you can feel your body getting so much stronger the more you stick with it. The first week I was having to hit the pause button, modify some moves, even just jogged through an interval while they were doing somethign else lol but now at week 4 I can do the entire workout session without pausing, no modifying, and almost keep up with them at their highest speed. It's an amazing workout and I love it and I will probably continue to do the program over and over until I get down to my goal weight.
