treadmill?

so i run on a treadmill instead of the streets but i have no idea how many calories it burns as its easier than street.
can anyone help me out?

    Either use a heart rate monitor or use the calorie estimate on the treadmill. If it doesn't give an estimate just use the average pace.

    No one will be able to know how many calories you burn, you can try to use MFP exercise database as an estimate, but a HRM would be your best bet

    it usually tells me but today it just didnt like me!

    If you want to mimic outdoor running set the incline between .5 and 1.5- this is what Runner's World suggests to mimic out door running- in that case, the effort should be the same and you could rely on the MFP database for the speed you ran.

    I wouldn't guess the difference in effort is enough to make a huge difference in estimated calories. In general for a 139 lb woman it's about 100 calories per mile.
