LOVE my TurboFire. Currently in the 3rd month of the TurboFire/ChaLEAN Extreme Hybrid.
I'm 5'8" and currently weight 202 pounds. The TurboFire workouts are a combination of short HIIT (high intentsity interval training) workouts (ranging between 15 and 25 minutes each) to longer cardio workouts (between 30 and 55 minutes). The moves involve kick-boxing, dancing... Lots of high energy, GREAT music... Definitely recommend this. It's a lot of fun!!
Oh yeah... and when you order the set, it comes with resistance bands.0 -

Have it, love it! I'm starting back over again after an injury so I haven't completed an entire rotation of it, but, it's def fun and challenging!
The avg length is about 45 minutes - the HIIT workouts are 15, 20, or 25 (I believe) in the regular set. The other DVD's range from 30 to 45 to 55.
I am in the mid to upper 190's and, while I get whooped doing it, I don't have any problems keeping up. I am definitely starting to tone up. I do keep the HIIT workouts lower impact simply because I have knee problems, but, can go all out, on days I figure screw the knees, I need to get a good burn!
There are toning DVD's with it that include the use of bands. I haven't ventured there yet, seeing as how I keep repeating week 2! Next week I should get there in the rotation, I think!
Good luck and have fun!0 -
I just started Turbo Fire this week......loving it so far!!! It is fairly intense, and although i am already in pretty good shape, i find it challenging, but i also jumped right into the regular schedule, Vs starting w/ the prep schedule. Workouts run anywhere from 15 min to an hour, averaging prob about 40 min. Most videos dont use any equiptment, but it does come w/ resisitance bands which are used in core/toning workouts!!! I highly suggest it if u want to see real results, fast!

Have it, LOVE IT. I started it when I was 183lbs. (last summer) It comes with a band and love the way Chalene uses it. I went ahead and got the bigger package that came with the advanced workouts and the turbo tracker.
The workouts are anywhere from 15 minutes to 55/60 minutes.
I made videos of my transformation and they are posted on youtube. I lost around 25 lbs. ~~~ since then I took on P90X but didn't have the love for it like I did with Turbo FIre. (in other words.... maintained thru the X cause I lost motivation and "THE WANT" to workout) SO now I am doing the hybrid of Turbo FIre and ChaLEAN Extreme.
THe workouts were not easy to get thru at first but Chalene is such a great motivator. You do what you can and every time you do it .... you push and put a bit more into it. In the beginning I struggled to do a lot of the jumping but now, I can hang with the class.
I highly recommend it!

Turbo jam is fun... I've done a couple of the workouts. Same trainer, great effective workouts and moves.
Honestly, I like Turbo Fire more so cause the music, the combos, the HITT workouts, the fire drills, the class set up.
Turbo Jam is more of a beginner program. You do get to learn the moves and techniques used in Turbo FIre. However, both programs offer a higher intensity and a modified version of the moves so you can tailor it to your fitness level and needs.
Here is Chalene Johnson herself explaining the difference between Turbo Jam, Fire and Kick.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz8DJy-YGIQ
