i need distractions from mindless eating! I am not hungry nor do i need to eat... but i have this nagging urge to.

    A stick of minty gum might do the trick, or brush your teeth, not much tastes good after that!

    Drink a big glass of water and go for a walk or something!

    I agree about the gym. You may not want to eat if your month is clean from chewing gum. Are you eating enough throught the day though and eating every few hours?

    grab a friend who wants to lose weight also and go walking together. join the local swim weight loss classes also. you can meet other people with the same interest and maybe have a walking buddy.

    Drink lots of water! Keeps your stomach full (ish) and you'll have to pee about every hour hahaha

    There is this awesome book called "the end of overeating" By David A. Kessler

    It is a good read and it helps you through those times when you want to eat even though you aren't hungry. I got my copy on Amazon for $3.99
