Good Morning everyone. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Well today was the first day of school here and so I drove the boys to school and of course it is pouring down rain. I hope that isnt an omen for the year to come LOL. I was planning on walking at the park after I dropped them off but so much for that. Maybe I will get to do it later on tonight. My oldest son has a cubscout meeting so I can walk while he is there. I guess I will do my Taebo instead just to be on the safe side. I have to wait until my young one takes a nap though. Dont want to kick her while Im doing it. She likes to be right under me.

One more day till first weigh in. We can do it.

  • Hi! New member here... just joined your team! I know watch ya mean about trying to work out with the kiddos around. My 20 month old son loves to get right up next to me when I'm doing my Walk Away the Pounds video. That works fine... up until I have to do side steps and end up knocking him right in the floor! LoL

    Good Morning Blue Team:flowerforyou:

Kick my butt into gear:laugh: I have started off the morning good with my eating but now am trying to get up enough energy to go do my Walk Away The Pounds video. The 2 youngest that are still home are outside following dad around the farm so I have the house to myself and wouldn't have to worry about knocking anyone down (which I have done ops) so someone please yell at me.

    Heres to a good day:drinker:

    :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • So we weigh in on Tuesdays?? I think I messed up a little... I've already lost nine pounds, but sent the message to join with my current weight and not my starting weight. Was it suppose to be my starting weight? If so, I think I jipped our team out of (hopefully by tomorrow) ten pounds.

Uggghhhhh Hopefully I'll at least break even this week! This weekend I had to work nights Fri, Sat and Sun and we had the year end soccer tourny so we were at the pitch all day Sat and sun:ohwell: Which means I'm going on 7 hours sleep for the weekend, a crack load of coffee and not alot of food. Whatever I did grab was from the canteen at the field......... BAD BAD Kirsti!!! BAD BAD weekend

I just finished my 30 minutes of taebo. I cant quite do the amped part yet but I can do the slow parts of it so far. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can do it without stopping for a minute or so when I need to catch a breath

Thanks for trying to get the sun for me. In truth we needed the rain I just wish it had waited for about 2 hours before it rained. That would have been perfect then.

I was sooo worried about letting the team, (and myself) down this weekend. I always seem to gain alot on the weekends and this weekend I went to a friends cabin which always means lots of munchies, booze, and little or no exercise. BUT.....this time I didn't have ANY munchies through out the day. I watched my portions at all meals and tried to make healthy choices. So if there was dinner rolls and potatoes to go with the steak I only had one of them istead of both!! I went for a walk Sat morning and included lunges, squats, and arm curls as we walked. Anytime anyone was needing something I would jump up and offer to get it for them. All in all I ended up only gaining 1 pound at the end of the weekend!!! I usually gain 5!!! So.....by Wednesday mornings weigh in I should be right back on track!! Thank you everyone who gave me suggestions last week on how to get through the weekend!! :drinker:

WTG Suni. I am so glad that you did well this weekend not for the team but for yourself. Dont you just get such a great feeling when you know that you have done well.

I use to post my meals after I ate, it worked when I was doing this earlier in the year so I am going to give it a shot again, keeps me accountable for what I eat.

    Lunch:
SmartOne - Sailsbury steak & mac and cheese
    cup skim milk
sugar free reduced calorie pudding cup

I think we weigh in on Tues or Wed mornings - the next weigh in is next week, I think?

This was asked on the main Biggest loser post, but I thought I would put it here, so I can get to know my fellow blues:

    1. If you could do anything with your life what would you do?
    2. If you could invite 3 guests from anytime in history to dinner who would your 3 dinner guests be?
    3. What do you plan to do once you reach your goal weight?
    4. Tell us the thing you are most proud of in your life
    5. What's the hardest thing you have ever done?
    6. What's your best piece of advice for others for their weight loss journey?
and I would like to add 7. what made you decide to lose weight?

    For me:
    1. Exactly what I'm doing now - I'm a kept woman and a part-time yoga teacher
    2. Jane Austen, Wilkie Collins, & Queen Victoria
    3. maintain - I don't think it will be all it's cracked up to be
    4. my husband
    5. I've had an easy life - but losing weight is tough! Also, even though I was terrified, I got on a plane for a one hour trip - cried almost the whole way
    6. Keep at it. You will have set backs, You will hit plateaus. You will have obstacles. Keep trying. Also, learn to love exercise. It takes a while.
    7. When I was in yoga, my fat was getting in the way of my practice.

I believe we weigh in every week with our team leader and do our measurements every 2 weeks.

Hi all I'm new to blue as of today. So we weigh in every Tuesday but what kind of measurements do we take? Anyway, I've been doing steady well for a while so I'm pumped to whoop butt (my own).

I hope I continued to lose this week but I think I'm coming up on THAT time of the month and I feel like a whale. :noway:

I went out and bought a HRM today!! I'm sooo excited to use it. I was worried I was calculating wrong for the exercise I did and possible over eating. Now I'll know much better what I'm really at! This challange was exactly what I needed to get going!

My hr monitor is a watch and I wear it all the time LOL. I just wish they would make some femine ones. This is black and bulky but it does the job.

BTW We measure the neck, waist, hips and I think that is it.

Hello! It is your fearless leader! Sorry I have not been on here encouraging everyone. It seems like August is so busy for us and I just dont get a chance to be on the computer until later in the day.

Weigh in day is tomorrow! Is everyone ready. I dont think I am. Went out of town to Seattle WA this weekend and went out with my cousin. Ate bad, drank bad! We must do it every once in a while I think!

I still dont have everyones starting measurements. I am not sure the best way to gather it. If you can send them to me if you have not posted them.

    to answer Marywilldiet's posting

    1. If you could do anything with your life what would you do? Enjoy each and everyday doing the things that make me and my family happy!

    2. If you could invite 3 guests from anytime in history to dinner who would your 3 dinner guests be? My dad(he passed away a yr and 1/2 ago. I miss him) My aunt who passed away 1 yr ago and my grandma who I never met

    3. What do you plan to do once you reach your goal weight? Buying a new outfit from head to toe including an expensive pair of designer jeans!!!

    4. Tell us the thing you are most proud of in your life ...my children. Always and forever no matter what!

    5. What's the hardest thing you have ever done? Losing weight, only second to dealing with my fathers sudden unexpected death

    6. What's your best piece of advice for others for their weight loss journey? Listen to your body. What works for one may not work for others! You know yourself better than anyone else could!

and I would like to add 7. what made you decide to lose weight? I need to be healthy. My father died of a sudden massive heart attack. I cant imagine my children going through what I did , loosing my father at age 33. He was 55 and I want to be there for too many things that will happen long after I am 55!!!
